Same Aura: Kusako Yoko

I haven’t had a particular interest in fashion models

But it's not difficult for me — and for many people — to imagine why
men are attracted to models, or
why models attract men

Because, I feel it is the same kind of reason why I’m attracted to Kusaka Yoko

When she was 21 years old, in 1952,
she committed suicide

Looking back,
there wasn't any particular work of hers that deeply captivated me

But somehow I kept collecting her books and thinking about her

It’s only because of a certain aura she still gives off

It is the aura that comes from the fact that she could have lived a long life, but chose not to. She chose to vanish
