"If we hadn’t communicated online at all, then
our relationship could have lasted longer"
In recent years,
there were a few moments when I thought like this
Relationships of any kind deepen,
when the other person isn't present in front of us
We think, imagine, reflect about them
This process brings deeper understanding, diverse perspectives, and even a sense of appreciation
"Distance", "absence" and "silence"
paradoxically produces "trust"
But in today’s always-connected, always-online world,
those things are rare to have
While the relationship is still alive,
I can't understand what she is thinking
Only after the relationship is gone,
I finally have my own time & space and understand what she is thinking better, or perhaps fully
