Jealous with high school boys & girls

In Europe,
I often felt jealous in shopping malls

There were high school boys and girls, making all those romantic gestures
(Even just sitting next to each other holding hands seemed romantic enough to my Japanese eyes)

I thought it was because of Europe,

because of a non-Asian, "foreign" culture, and so I felt that peculiar jealousy toward those who were young enough yet bold enough

Then, in recent months,
on this island in the Far East,
I’ve often found myself in a shopping mall on weekday afternoons, and I come across high school boys & girls (with school uniforms, ofc)

They do the same things,
just like their European counterparts

Am I jealous?

Probably yes
