Live Report from a Cafe

In a small cafe
2 male customers, 1 female barista & myself
A Chinese man, having an online meeting, speaking Chinese moderately loudly
Another guy, a Polish man, confronting the Polish barista
No idea what they’re talking about but
they both look very intense and
to my eyes, it looks as if
they used to be a couple or
they’re still a couple but
in the middle of a breakup and
looks like he came to the cafe where his (ex-) girlfriend works, and........
No music is playing in the cafe right now
Only loud Chinese & intense Polish fill the space
Not sure if I'm allowed to smile
