These books

I've never heard of its titles, its authors

I picked them up from a "Free to Take" box at a local library

On the way to this cafe,
I felt a small sense of liberation

"I have no reason to read them at all"

They aren't books I borrowed from a library
They aren't books I bought at a secondhand bookstore

No external pressure — no return date, no financial investment

I spent nothing

If I want, I can keep them forever
If I want, I can leave them on the street

Either way, I wouldn't feel anything

The only reason I picked them up was that the titles looked a little interesting

It feels rare
