I've been feeling something gloomy these days
And found it very hard to smile at strangers
Then, walking on the street today
Saw a cafe
Inside. A young woman with short blond hair cooking
She slightly turned her head & caught my eye
Our eyes met
But I was unable to give her smile
I gave her my face with no emotion
Perhaps, with even some amount of anger
Regardless
she put a slight, faint smile on her face
Then, turned her head back, and continued what she had been doing
It was all momentary incident
Less than 0.5 second
But it reminded me of this apparently apparent fact;
"Human beings smile unconditionally"
I was thinking that
people smile, just because I smiled at them first
But this incident, this woman, told me;
she smiles without any input
she smiles anyway
she smiles unconditionally
Felt like
I saw the unconditional cheerfulness & brightness of human beings through her
Humans beings are goodness
