Mismatched

In a cafe

At some point, she stood up and said;

"I'll go to the toilet"

A very faint, very subtle, tiny bit of surprise passed through me

I'd thought she would say "bathroom" or "restroom"

"Toilet"

This simple, direct quality of the word, its straightforward tone, seemed a little out of sync with her aura
