9/September/2024 in Kraków
Cafe or
Restaurant or
Terrace table on the street or......
Seeing Polish people, or Europeans, eating a meal with knife & fork
I always see some undeniable "naturalness" there
Their way of using knife & fork looks to me
"too smooth" and "too comfortable"
Just seeing their moves brings me a certain pleasure
In Japan
―Knife & fork is widely used
―Nothing special
―Every household has the set & Everyone can use it without any difficulty
But I don't see this kind of "smoothness",
never get this "pleasure",
by witnessing a Japanese person using knife & fork
...........in a sense
what I just wrote above is nonsense
People in Europe have been using knife & fork since they were born
On the other hand
Japanese uses chopsticks
People are good at different things
That's all
Nothing to fuss about it
And perhaps
things I feel.......
......."naturalness" or
"smoothness" or
"pleasure".......
.......all would be my usual illusions & delusions coming from my "rational" understanding
as in;
"........Europeans use knife & fork all the time. For their entire life. They MUST be good at it. They MUST be "professional". They MUST have a special aura around..........And what I see is actually what I want to see"
I wrote above in 3rd September
Today I had an opportunity to have a meal with people from several different countries in Europe
.........well
they definitely have clear "naturalness" & "smoothness"
or perhaps I should say
"particular mannerisms/moves"
which can't be seen among Japanese
