Reasons for visiting Nara

I came to Nara this time,

only because I wanted to walk on these wild roads. called Yamanobe No Michi／山辺の道

Just like "The Tale of Genji" is the most important classical book from Kyoto,

"Collection of Ten Thousand Leaves (or Manyoshu／万葉集)" is the Japan's oldest poetry, compiled in around 8th century, from Nara

And these roads, including nature & scenery around, were important inspirations for this poetry

I actually haven't yet properly read "Collection of Ten Thousand Leaves", but wanted to experience what those old poets saw & heard back in the ancient times
