16/March/2023 in Nara
I came to Nara this time,
only because I wanted to walk on these wild roads. called Yamanobe No Michi/山辺の道
Just like "The Tale of Genji" is the most important classical book from Kyoto,
"Collection of Ten Thousand Leaves (or Manyoshu/万葉集)" is the Japan's oldest poetry, compiled in around 8th century, from Nara
And these roads, including nature & scenery around, were important inspirations for this poetry
I actually haven't yet properly read "Collection of Ten Thousand Leaves", but wanted to experience what those old poets saw & heard back in the ancient times
