Boring Question

26/October/2025 in Kraków

The other day
I was at an event

A Polish girl asked me;

"What do you think about AI? AI takes over art? Will artists become jobless?........"

If art is "a product" and
your primary aim is to generate financial gain, then
you would probably be concerned, or at least take AI into consideration

Otherwise,
AI has nothing to do with art, or with our creative activities

We engage in creative activities in order to
interact with the world, with others, with ourselves

Creative activities of all kinds are the way

to interact with the world more
to be involved in one's life more
to enjoy one's life more

Painting (drawing) is such a good example

There is a flower on the street

Most people don't notice

Some people take a photo on their phone, feel satisfied, and go (and forget)

Probably 0.1% of people stop & observe it for a while

Maybe 0.00000001% of people stop, observe, gaze & draw it

It takes time to draw

A part of one's life must be sacrificed for it

But during this time,
he/she engages in such an intimate interaction with the flower

What a rich time it must be

Creative activities, or art, are the way to enjoy this thing, called "Life", more
