3/October/2024 in Kraków
"Some European cities were built & developed around university"
I saw this line more than 10 years ago
Say,
Oxford or Cambridge are the most typical examples for this
Kraków is, I'm certain, one of such cities
When university starts,
the scenes & atmosphere in the city clearly changes
Even cafe
Full of students now
On 1/Oct
(also 1/Sep when high schools begin)
stationary shops are filled with students
which I saw last year too, and still found somewhat amicable
Hopeful
Joyful
& Welcoming vibes
are certainly felt,
even inside myself
Then, how was Japan?
How did I feel/see the first day of the new academic year, when I was in Japan?
Annoying feeling occurred in me, usually
Because
when students came back,
trains, and other public transportation, got even busier
Nothing hopeful, nothing joyful, nothing welcoming,
at least inside myself
I'm not student anymore
It all belongs to the past
I'm not settling down in this city
It's all remote events
I can't experience "Life" like them anymore
Time passed and I changed
Time produces distance
And it is distance that brings us
intoxications, dreams & hopes
