Forced Loneliness

Freshers' week

It's not difficult to point out
who is the fresher (= a brand-new uni student)

Their fashion

Their fashion is still not sophisticated enough

Or, not nonchalant enough

Particularly their shoes & bag

These days
In the city
I see fresh uni students who look a bit lost

They just don't get used to the new environments yet

Still don't know where is where

And I'm always interested in
........or "attracted" to........
a boy & a girl who is alone

Particularly,
those who are eating alone during the lunch time
in a cafe
or
in a bench in a small park

Maybe,
they "spontaneously" choose to be alone

But I don't see them this way

I see them, as in

They want to mingle
They want to be with others
They know they are "supposed to" be in a group
But
They find it difficult. Or impossible

And now,
Alone
