Why difficult to enjoy translated books?

I often find hard enjoy translated books, specifically novels

Very hard to fully enjoy the taste of sentences

If a book is written in my language, I can enjoy 2 things

"What's written (= Contents)"
and "How it's written (= How the content is expressed)"

The latter one is more subtle, ambiguous, subjective and more intuitive than the first one

But in translated books, my attention tends to go to the first point

And it feels like I just follow the story without much emotional involvement
