Relationships are emotions

Writing a letter to a friend today

And I was thinking..........

I can still access to the past
And that's why a relationship that is still alive is precious

Things that guarantee a sense of continuity.........

Things that hold so-called "self-identity"........

Things that make sure of this sense: "I'm still the same existence from the past"........

One of them is surely our memories

Memories make us "us" today

But I'm sure
relationships with others are even more than our memories
that bring a stronger sense of continuity to our life

We can't go back to the past

But through a relationship with this person

.........whether it be classmates, old friends, ex-partners, relatives, parents.........

we can feel we are able to touch the past,
that already ended & never comes back

Physically we can't go back

But emotionally we can

with a help of a relationship that is still alive

Because relationships are emotions
