Uji, Kyoto

3 days ago I visited Kyoto's southern town, Uji

Probably the best day since I came to Kyoto

Uji is well-known for a magnificent temple, called Byodoin

Also Uji is a place that many of country's culture was connected with

such as "The Tale of Genji" the oldest novel

---

When seeing the Uji river, anyone can immediately realise it is this river that produced cultures & enriched them

Many years passed

Many centuries passed

But still memory of cultural prosperity is vividly visible here
